Intoduction for blog party

My name is Michelle and I am married to a wonderful, Godly man whom I love more and more every day! We have nine children here on earth and five wee ones in heaven. We have homeschooled for about 13 years.

I love Jesus Christ more than anything. I love serving Him, worshipping Him, spending time with Him, writing to Him and about Him. He colors every aspect of my life. I love to share what I feel He has shown me, or is showing me to encourage others.

Check out Twenty-five random things about me.

I want to express right away that I am not that "all together" woman that some of us women think exists! She doesn't exist, in case you still thought she did!

I have learned a lot and am still learning a lot in the areas of motherhood, being a Godly wife and a keeper of the home.

I love to share my heart through writing. My original purpose for this blog is for it to be a journal or manual for my daughters. I purposefully have few and distinct 'labels' for each post with the hope that one day they can print up each 'label' as a chapter in a beautiful book from their Mama's heart.

I also have a passion to encourage other women in the heart of Titus 2.

I believe with all my heart that Christian married women with children are to love their husbands, love their children and be keepers at home. I also believe that in a world that slams this calling, I want to be a light and beacon of hope.

I want to elevate the wisdom of God in this beautiful calling of womanhood and all that it includes. I understand we all come from different backgrounds and even cultures. I just want to share my little take on what I believe God has called me too.

I have been greatly influenced by the practices outlined in the book Nourishing Traditions. I strive to learn new (or old) ways to nourish my family as healthfully as I can.

I am interested in all things homemaking; homesteading, gardening (though I hate weeding in the heat), canning and preserving, baking, cooking, cleaning, organizing ect. I don't claim to have mastered any or all of these, but I love attempting them.

I felt the Lord's leading on the title of this blog. I actually had another name chosen, but it didn't quite sit right. "She Looketh Well" kept coming to my mind, and finally I saw the beauty of that title. It expresses my heart to truly 'look well' to the very things the Lord has entrusted to me; my relationship to my husband, my children and my home.

I pray you find hope and encouragement in this little blog. Grab a cup of tea or a latte ;-) and come along on this journey as we learn to "Looketh Well" to the ways of our households!

I posted a comment over at the Kick-off post. I just saw the link to your intro. I'm glad to hear that the "she's got it all together" woman does not exist. I am definitely a work in progress!I really enjoy your blog~so glad God led me here. What a beautiful legacy to leave your daughters.

Nice To meet you, Michelle. :-)
You said "I love Jesus Christ more than anything. I love serving Him, worshipping Him, spending time with Him, writing to Him and about Him. He colors every aspect of my life. I love to share what I feel He has shown me, or is showing me to encourage others."
Beautifully expressed! My heart echos your words as well!
I am glad I found your blog!
Blessings,
Dea

Hi, Michelle,
This is a great idea. I have enjoyed the Christian friends I have been privileged to meet through the Simple Woman's Daybook. One of those friends, Linda of Remote Treechanger in Australia, did a post about your blog party, so I came on over to check you out.

I will try to follow your rules to participate. :)

What a beautiful vision for starting this blog. I am sure your daughters enjoy it now as well. It will be great to have it look back to in those times where you need some "help" in the journey of womenhood.

Oh it's so refreshing to read about your life and convictions. I didn't read anything that I do agree with or aspire to be. I am looking forward to coming back here often. Thank you for your witness.

Your family is just beautiful.
