Hi Ladies,
Sorry I haven't been able to keep up with the video posts, I know Meg was a bit disappointed. ;-) I have had another crash with this adrenal exhaustion, it has been a rough couple of days.
I am so pleased with what you all are doing. I know some of you aren't doing the 'challenge' but are still enjoying making recipes. Thank you for your posts and emails, they are such an encouragement.
Tomorrow is Yummy Granola! We had this yesterday as I was not up to anything else! It is so good to have something nourishing and yummy all made up in the pantry.
One thing I have learned with switching over to more nourishing ways of feeding my family is that planning ahead is key! You can't decide at 4:00 pm to have Bean and Greens soup for dinner that night, that is if you are committed to making it nourishing. You need to have prepared at least 24 hours in advance to soak those beans and cook them. It can sound so overwhelming, but when you have a system in place, it does the work for you and makes life so easy.
I hope you found that to be the case this week with this challenge.
Let me know how you like the Yummy Granola!

Hi Michelle,
I am catching up on reading your blog, after being on vacation last week and trying to catch up around here and get back in a routine with school and housework this week. After some time off, it is hard to get back to the daily grind!
I currently can't use water -- so I have some time for catching up on my reading of blog posts! (Check out my blog if you are curious as to why.)
I wish I had gotten in on your breakfast challenge on time! I will go back and start at the beginning and see if I can give it a try! I am interested in learning more, but I still don't understand why Soaking grains is really necessary. Did Bible women soak their grains? If I back track, will I find the answer to that in your Breakfast Challenge posts??
Also, I wanted to let you know that I am praying for you and concerned for your health. Please take it easy and get plenty of rest. Have you ever read Debbies blog from Cheaper By the Baker's Dozen? She had adrenal fatigue a few years ago and put all her kids in Christian school for a year. I don't know if she woud have any helpful hints for you.
Also, have you ever checked out the women to women website? They have some very informative articles on adrenal fatigue, including info on stress and your adrenals, how to eat to support your adrenals, and natural remedies for adrenal fatigue. To read the wealth of info on their website, start here:

Sorry that you were down for a few days!! Hope you are feeling better VERY SOON!
Today's PB bars were a hit (as you knew they would be). Meg had to cook them a lot longer than it said, though. Don't know why that was, but she baked them for a least 30 minutes. (The recipe says 10-15 minutes, I think.)
She blogged it:

The boys are all looking forward to tomorrow's granola!
Hang in there! I for one am glad you stopped putting up the videos for the sake of your health...I'm sure everyone else feels the same way! No worries from the peanut gallery...we all understand I am very sure. One day at a time...moment by moment! Thanks for all your great ideas and recipes...I for one have been enjoying trying this "new" way of doing things.
Blessings,
Camille
Get the rest you need - your health is of utmost importance.
I am praying for you.
