I found these two pieces at our local thrift shop.
A bowl with a pedestal base.
A platter.
I used a two part epoxy glue.
One can of Krylon Ivy Leaf Green spray paint.
and
Voila!
I love it! It is so pretty! I must admit my newest passion just might be spray paint. I love this stuff. So much better than it was years ago. So easy to use.
love the colors!!!! Just back from our unplugged vacation! Fun to see all your home improvements!
ReplyDeleteGood grief, that was such a great idea!!! I love a plate with a pedestal, but never thought about getting one that way. What a nice way to display a birthday cake. :-)

ReplyDeleteThat is just beautiful! I would have totally picked up that sweet bowl too - glad you put them together for such a sweet combination!
ReplyDeleteYou are so creative!! I can't believe you made such a beautiful piece out of those two separate ones.
ReplyDeleteThat is absolutely beautiful! I love the green, purple, and white! I may have to start investing in some spray paint and looking for "home stuff" at thrift stores! I can find books and clothes at thrift stores, but I need a housewares anointing! Ha!
ReplyDeleteWOW! I'm so impressed! I would have never thought of combining those two pieces, spray painting and creating such a beautiful piece! You are amazing girl!!! :)
