My oldest son was over today for a haircut and shared with us that a girl he works with is pregnant by the guy my son shares a house with. She apparently confides in him and told him that she is going to have an abortion as soon as her boyfriend and her can come up with the $650 it will take to murder this baby. She also has a three year old.
I know abortion goes on all day everyday around the world and that we should be praying unceasingly about this. I am ashamed to admit that I don't. I am asking you to pray fervently for the life of this precious baby, his/her mother and father. Pray also for my son to be bold to share the truth any opportunity he has. Pray that if the Lord had him tell us for any reason other than to pray that it would become evident and that He would provide an opportunity to minister to this young woman.
We have offered to talk with her, pray with her, provide her help, adopt her baby . . .
Please pray!!!! Thank you.
I just can't get my mind off of this, it is a BABY!!! A teeny tiny baby whose going to be murdered!
I'm praying....

OH I hear you Michelle! There are millions like this little one and yet it is SO CLOSE to home when you KNOW the person(s) involved! I will be praying too....
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing!
Blessings,
Camille
Oh Michelle! I will be praying! This strikes really close to my heart! On Monday my cousin and his wife lost the baby she was carrying. Their little girl was 6 months gestation. After she was born, I took about 200 pictures with my camera. I spent all day yesterday editing them and making a slide show for them. So emotional!
ReplyDeleteI will be praying that this young lady will realize the life she is carrying is precious.
I'll be praying for her and the baby. There are so many people who would give that precious life a home! I can't imagine how scared the mom must be though. I will also be praying that she comes to know the truth, and realizes the love of Jesus.
ReplyDeleteDear Lord!
ReplyDeletePraying, Michelle!!!!
I just finished praying fervently for this situation. The evil of abortion has been on my heart for quite awhile now. I actually have a pro-life blog where I try to offer information that might just prevent some woman from going through the murder of her baby. I'll post the link, below, if anyone is interested in looking at it. Beware that some images are very graphic.
ReplyDeleteI haven't posted on my abortion blog since last October. That's when abortion touched our family. "Touched" is too gentle a word...more like slammed, ripped, exploded into my consciousness.
The girlfriend of one of my stepsons had an abortion. That was MY grandchild! I pleaded with her not to go through with it, and yes, I too offered to adopt the baby. Satan had hardened her heart and she wasn't going to interrupt her college plans to have a baby. I also phoned her mother and she supported it too!! Are people insane?? Sorry, I get very emotional about this. I haven't been the same since. It just broke me up. I sobbed and sobbed for days over this loss. I sobbed when I just prayed for this young girl, too.
Michelle, I will post your prayer request on my Wifely Pursuits blog, to get the word out.
Here's the link to my abortion blog, Abortion: Know The Truth!

It's just as hard to look at the images of aborted babies as it is looking at the Holocaust images. It's the same mass genocide! The Lord must come back soon...surely "the cup of iniquity is full" in this era.
Thank you so much, you mighty women of God. I am so thankful for all of you!!!
ReplyDeleteJenn, how heartbreaking. What a precious ministry you have to your cousin.
{{{{{Mrs. T}}}}} Oh my goodness, the heartache you must have and continue to feel. I am so sorry for you pain! I weep with you. When my oldest came to us about two years ago to tell us he was going to be a father in a less than ideal situation, our hearts broke, yet, we praised the Lord that they chose life. I cannot fathom the depth of pain you must feel as the grandma. Praying for you today too! May the Lord Jesus comfort and heal your heart. Thank you for sharing your heart and your prayers.
May the Lord bless all of you women and keep you and may His face shine upon you. I thank my God everytime I think of you.
{{{{hugs}}}}
Michelle
I pray and hope that this couple will change their mind. Abortion is a horrible thing and the reprecutions are sometimes more than people can deal with. They need Jesus more than anything. I pray your son would be able to be bold and speak up for this innocent life that is being plotted against.
ReplyDeletePraying fervently!!
ReplyDeleteDear Michelle:
ReplyDeleteI didn't know that about your son, but how wonderful indeed that they chose to give their child life! And now that little one has your godly influence in its life.
It has been good for me to write about this today. I actually feel that a huge burden has been released. Thank you, Lord! And thank you, Michelle, for being faithful to lift up this need in prayer and to share it with us.
Praying for this precious life and all involved. May Jesus be glorified!
ReplyDeleteI just commented over at Mrs. T's blog. This weighs extremely heavy on my heart, especially being pregnant. We'll be in prayer!!
ReplyDeleteMy oldest son once asked me...Why do we say a baby is a year old from the time of birth til a year? Shouldn't we say the baby is a year and nine months? Isn't a baby nine months when it's born?
Oh if everyone could see life that innocent and truthful...
Blessings to you and yours!!
praying here too Michelle!
ReplyDeleteOh Michelle how horrible. We too would love to step in and adopt this precious soul from them if they are willing. Our hearts and prayers are going out to support these two during this time. God Bless!
ReplyDeleteAs a biological mother and an adoptive mother, my heart goes out to this young woman. I pray that the weight of prayers weighs heavy on her heart. I pray that she would see that she has hope. Hope for her situation that does not involve killing her own child. My birthday is Jan. 22 the date of Roe V wade. I always cringe when the reporters talk about abortion on my birthday. You see I had a pregnant teen mom who chose to give me life! My parents chose to marry and have lived happily ever after. It took a long time to get to the happily ever after, but God did it and their marriage is one to be envied! I will pray, thanks for sharing!

As I went to click on the link to take me to your blog this morning God told me to pray, then I saw the title of your post. I will be praying on this constantly. I wish we could adopt this baby as well. I want nothing more than to be able to protect all those babies. I pray that her eyes will be opened to the selfishness that she's feeling and to the amazing love she would end up having for that little life inside her.
ReplyDeleteI am so glad I grew up without even considering that as an option. I got pregnant with my first little blessing at 19, and I loved her the moment I found out.
:(
Have you heard anything Michelle? I have continued to pray that God would be glorified in this.
ReplyDeleteHi Shyla and everyone else, the last I heard was that she now has the money and has an appointment for this Thursday. I am continuing to pray that the Lord would intervene!
ReplyDeleteMy heart just aches...
Hi Mrs. G!
ReplyDeleteThank you for your sweet comment on my blog...we enjoyed meeting your family as well, and Lord willing would LOVE to have you over for some fellowship - soon:)
I stopped by to let you know that we have been praying for the little baby - I didn't see your update until just now, and pray that the Lord worked in the birth mom's heart so that she didn't have the abortion. The thought of abortion pierces my soul...it's is such a grievous and WRONG thing.
~Ever in prayer,
Jenna
Prayerfully pleading for the life of this precious one!
