Question of the Day #7

Day seven:
For whose salvation will you pray most fervently this year?

  1. Hi Michelle,
My mother-in-law. She is 83, very active, and lives on her own. We have spoken to her many times but we can't say she has ever really given her life to God. In reality, she doesn't have many years left on this earth and I pray she will turn to God.
    Blessings,
    Gloria

  2. I am in love with this idea!! Thank you so much for this! I have not commented on all of the questions but every one has made me think.

Okay, so who am I praying for this year—by BIL (just so you know, my MIL is also praying for this). Is it my SIL's second marriage (she was widowed with a 3 month old child after being married less than a year) and he is, um, well, not a good father/husband/provider/role model, etc. I have no patience with him and his attitude and my MIL told me that she has been praying for him to turn his heart towards God because, when he does, the rest will come. I must admit this is hard for me. I want him to be a man NOW, not whenever. But I am praying for his salvation and hoping for the best.

  4. Thanks for your comments ladies.

Gloria, your comment makes me think of my grandma, who has been gone awhile now, we always wondered if she truly knew the Lord. I have such a tender spot in my heart for older ladies. I about chase them down at the grocery store offering my assistance and conversing with them. I miss my grandma.

Shannon, I too have someone for whom I am wrongfully impatient with. The Lord knows and I can trust Him.

  5. I have been struggling with this question all day. I am very convicted that I do not pray as I should for some of the very lost people in my life; family members.

It brings tears to my eyes to think of the grace that the Lord has poured out to me and yet brothers and sister and dad have not been so graced. Why He chose me...?

Anyway, Lord willing, I want to pray for my sister, brother and dad way, way more!

Lord Jesus, please remind me to pray without ceasing for them. Open their eyes to the wonder of You!
