I could relate to many of your pursuits, especially the motherly essentials one. We are on this journey together, and I pray that the Lord will show Himself to us in amazing ways this year as we hunger for Him!

You already know my word from my blog post today, but I'll post it for others: Satisfied.

"Satisfy us in the morning with your unfailing love, that we may be sing for joy and be glad all our days."

Kristen Feola
Author, The Ultimate Guide to the Daniel Fast
www.ultimatedanielfast.comkristenfeolahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07127890692405628585noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5790273135643270641.post-41399511967963638542011-01-03T16:10:27.401-05:002011-01-03T16:10:27.401-05:00Wonderful word(s) for this new year. I have mine and will share soon, but we are once again dealing with sickness:( Hoping to catch up on all your posts soon!

Love you!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02983747923969997503noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5790273135643270641.post-12743234244452436402011-01-02T09:39:36.207-05:002011-01-02T09:39:36.207-05:00My word for this year is Betrothed.

In short, he was saying that before considering marriage to another, one should be betrothed to Christ. In his opinion (and I wholeheartedly concur) one should be so thoroughly engrossed in seeking the Lord before being betrothed that it will be easy to discern the leading of the Lord concerning a future soul-mate.

Therefore, this is my word for this year, betrothed to Christ. I am going to pursue a deeper relationship with the Lord. I want to be betrothed to Christ as it is referenced in 2 Cor. 11:2 -4

"I am anxious for you with the deep concern of God himself--anxious that your love should be for Christ alone, just as a pure maiden saves her love for one man only, for the one who will be her husband. But I am frightened, fearing that in some way you will be led away from your pure and simple devotion to our Lord, just as Eve was deceived by Satan in the Garden of Eden."

Needless to say, I have been led away from my “pure and simple devotion” to the Lord just as Eve was. It was about half way through 2010 that I came back to the Lord. Now I want my “pure and simple devotion” back again, and I want it to be deeper and more intense than ever before. Instead of putting in extra hours at work or spending my free time surfing the web, I am going to pursue a passionate relationship with the Lord. I want to know the Lord like never before. I want to be betrothed to Christ.

Hosea 2:19-20 "And I will betroth you to Me forever; Yes, I will betroth you to Me in righteousness and in justice, In lovingkindness and in compassion, And I will betroth you to Me in faithfulness. Then you will know the Lord (emphasis added).

My parents have been telling me this same thing for many years but due to my rebellious attitude, I wanted nothing to do with it. Now I want to redeem the time that the enemy has stolen. Thanks Mom for the inspiring post, the Lord had been working on my heart and leading me in this direction before I heard your post. It was then that the specific word for this year was given to me. Thank you.

Always your loyal son,
Lukelcgrzyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03192994727302813552noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5790273135643270641.post-15750208943123336342011-01-01T14:23:40.033-05:002011-01-01T14:23:40.033-05:00First, I followed you from Ann’s

I have been wanting more joy in my life and I feel like the Holy Spirit is leading me to this.
